Florida, one of the remaining places on Earth where nature and wildlife still flourish.

The state of Florida includes an incredible variety of habitats, including the tropical coral reefs of the Florida Keys, the unique Everglades, temperate hardwood forests, majestic rivers that meander for hundreds of miles, awe-inspiring springs, and nearly 8,000 lakes.

I have taken these photographs "around" the southern and central Florida. Everglades is one place that I haven't yet explored fully. I have visited Florida several years in a row around end of December-early January. Most likely best time would be around late March (if you want to see lot's of birds).
My most favorite places are like the Merritt-Island, Sanibel, Gatorland (the wild birds sanctuary section), De Soto Park, Myakka, Tamiami Trail, Corkscrew, Venice Rookery and Viera Wetlands.
I know there are still many good places that I haven't had change to visit yet but some day I will....

Your book is really amazing. May I ask which time of the year you were there, where exactly you have been within the Everglades and how long?
We have been to the Everglades too but haven't seen this variety of species.

best regards from Katja
