Barbara (Bobbie) Bond was born in rural Missouri the 8th child of Charles and Maud Bond. Diagnosed with down syndrome at birth she lived a quiet life surrounded by her family. The illustrations in this book is what Barbara like to call "her work". She would sit for hours with her paper and markers and create a masterpiece.
