Photos from a Country Boy at the Appleby Horse Fair

It's a fair without fairground rides, but a carnival atmosphere reigns: Appleby's Horse Fair is Britain's largest annual gathering of a group of people given the catch-all name 'Gypsies.'
Horse trading is the main event and each morning horses are washed in the river and prepared for a day of grooming, racing and bartering.
