About the Book
B-17 Texas Raiders went back onto the airshow circuit, performing at such notable venues as Oshkosh and Thunder Over Michigan™. Her renaissance coincided with the 75th Anniversary of the B-17 Flying Fortress.
As you read this book, you will meet some of the heroes her crew met along the way, including World War II B-17 veterans who were attending the 381st Bomb Group reunion in Nashville. You’ll also enjoy an on-board airshow perspective, as well as get a peek at some of the behind-the-scenes antics of the CAF members who served her while on tour.
This photo journal was written in support of our nation’s aviation heritage, in an effort to bring visibility to our treasured air museums, as well as honor the veterans who gave their lives for this great country.
