This slim sheath of forty-five poems
About music and art
Synthesizes love, light, and sound
Musicians, painters, sculptors, hear, see
Colored notes blend, worlds entwine

Cortical nerve vibrato
Optical dendrite staccato
Spectral Falsetto

Look, listen, the artist’s mind
Her heart, His soul
Tip the color scale askew
Open to the things that make us human

Clefs and Palettes
Axe and Bristle
Vibes and Rays

Phonic, photonic, audionic
Supersonic, harmonic, video phonic
Audio-Visual Department

Retinal jingles
Audio signals
Bicameral scatting
Synapse straddling
Cerebral channeling

Look, Listen
In High Note, and Master Stroke
