I drove through the Texas panhandle many times on the way to Colorado before I actually stopped for more than an overnight rest. To my surprise, I have come to love this area for unexpected reasons. The feeling of complete openness is hard to describe while at the same time, hard to miss. There is much more here than meets the eye.
