The characters for this book were created in the mind of Ashlyn Nicole Zaiontz. At an early age, she came up with two imaginary friends -- Pickle-dell and Towel.

Ashlyn's grandmother, Ellen Burkett, took Ashlyn's idea for the characters and wrote and illustrated this childrens' tale of friendship and adventure.

Ashlyn lives in San Antonio, Texas. Her grandmother, Mimi, lives in Centennial, Colorado.
