Beautiful, colorful & quirky photos depicting life in Sayulita through the eyes of photographer Donna Day, who has lived in Sayulita since 2009.
Just north of Puerto Vallarta in Nayarit, Mexico, Sayulita started out as a sleepy little fishing town in the 1940's and has evolved into a destination for surfers, hipsters and tourists who want to wander off the map, but still have good restaurants to choose from .
Donna Day has been a professional photographer for 25 years. She has lived and worked in LA, NYC, Seattle, and now lives and works in Sayulita. She has a stock photo agency "Big Cheese Photo" that she shoots images for and shoots assignments as well as portraits and weddings in Sayulita, Mexico. She's been shooting photos in Sayulita for years and shoots a weekly photo column for El Sayulero, the weekly online "paper" for Sayulita.
