About the Book
Since moving to England in 1999, I have been fascinated with everything about it. These photos were taken in various places in England either with my digital camera or my forever friend, the traditional camera.
Many of the photos were taken in and around the East End of London which has always been a favourite area of mine. From my first venture into it in 1992, it has undergone many changes. Old buildings have been knocked down to make way for new ones as well as some buildings being re-vamped into a modern building with undertones of its past history left intact.
It is my hope that some of my photos will keep what old buildings remain as they are for future generations to see.
Another change that is taking place is the street art or graffiti. One day I photograph something which I see as unique and the next time I visit the same place to find it has been over-painted and not always by something as amazing as the previous piece. But art changes just as our history and our surroundings change. My work is merely a snapshot of a memory.
