About the Book
Mostly Maine and the maritimes (Nova Scotia, PEI and Cape Breton included as well) a sampling of photographs fculled from 40 plus years doing photography in many formats.
A unique photographic viewpoint representing a blend of traditional imagery and experimental process combining to represent the maritimes landscape in a new light. Most images come from Washington County Maine, the easternmost point in the continental US and the first continental area to catch the first rays of light of a new day.
An artist and musician with degrees from Boston Museum School, Nova Scotia College Art and Design, Rensselear Polytechnic, and Bridgewater State College; for thirty five years I have worked in both traditional folk arts and modern electronic art (video, performance art, installation art, electronic sound arts) as well as folk music and electronic music. I served 9 years as technical director of RISD and 6 years as a technical theater director at UMASS system. My wife Sandy is a photographer as well and together we shoot occasional events. I have been a guitarist for 35 years at present but have moved to dobro, lapsteel, and other slide instruments over the past 15 years, mixing my acoustic music with my knowledge of electronic music to create a hybred of my own.
