Laura, sometimes called Felix, is a female. One of the last one's on earth. She lives in a primitive human village with her best friend Lily, also a female. One of the last. It is perilous times, some time in the future. A race of winged humanoids came and attacked after humankind sent a virus out to destory all of the 'winged ones' females, hence, no more baby bird creatures. Well, they retaliated and so Laura now grows up in a world full of men, and not-so-kind men, until her best friend is kidnapped. She also discovers a secret so deep within herself that the very thought seemed impossible.
