About the Book
In March of 2011, just after the revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt, I traveled through North Africa to be there during a vital moment of history, to show my support and to experience first hand the democracy movements sweeping the region. This is a book of the photographs I took on that brief but intense journey through Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt. The text is taken from the emails I wrote home, an informal attempt to communicate what I saw and felt. I publish it here, in the hope that it captures some of the spirit of change and hope that swept the region during the Arab Spring. This is the print version.
