About the Book
A Kineograph is a video you hold in your hands. It is the forerunner of modern cinematography, a blending of digital and analog images. Each still image is slightly different from the images before and after, and when viewed at high speed, it conveys a perception of movement.
To enjoy this book, place either cover on a flat surface. Lift all the pages, and bend them to fan them slightly. Use your thumb to release them one at a time in rapid succession.
The images will form a moving picture as they flicker past. This book was designed to be viewed in either direction.
Images are of Yosemite Falls in Yosemite National Park, USA, and were captured at one-second intervals.
It is my hope that viewing this book will transport the reader to Yosemite Valley on a fine spring morning.
