The photos in this book were shot at the 2011 America's Family Pet Expo in Costa Mesa, CA. All of these dogs were looking for a new, forever home, where they can love and be loved.
Rescues are an important resource for pets who lose their homes due to misfortune and neglect. Hopefully, you'll see some of these great faces and think about a rescue the next time you are looking for a new family member to add to your home.
I thought of writing this page in the third person. “Leo Soderman is a blah, blah, blah…”. Yeah, not really my style. So, here’s some tidbits you might find interesting: I have written for a number of publications, on topics from poker to plumbing, computing to gardening. I’ve interviewed individuals in the fields of child psychology, high technology and gaming. And I’ve been editor-in-chief of a nationally distributed technology magazine. I’ve worked in theater, as performer, designer and technician, on over 100 total productions. In a former life, I worked at Disneyland, telling bad jokes to a new crown every eight minutes on the Jungle Cruise and sending folks on the wildest ride in the wilderness on Big Thunder Mountain. I’ve worked in a liquor store, as a legal courier, as a tech support rep, and a Director/VP of marketing. Most importantly, I’m the dad of a gifted young girl.
