About the Book
In the summer of 2008, my dad got an opportunity of a lifetime; to live and work as a backcountry guardian, patrolling non-motorized areas on horseback and re-acquainting himself with a lifestyle he loves - working and riding horses in the beautiful mountains and wildlands of Alberta.
This book shares a small part of his adventure with my photography, and written words from my dad.

I am a photographic artist who loves the outdoors, wildlife, trains, and movies. I've received international recognition for my Fine Art & Commercial Photography, and have also achieved recognition as an award winning independent film maker, nominated 'Best Cinematographer' at the 2007 & 2012 AMPIA Awards in Alberta, Canada. The philosophy behind my work is to create images that people can relate to on many levels, both personally and professionally; detail is of utmost importance when trying to achieve this. Every image that I create is a master-piece that is designed with fine art quality and craftsmanship. 'Let me capture your heart and imagination, to reflect upon your own sense of self, and to express to others who you are.'
