This 7"x7" volume is the One Year Anniversary Edition of this book, it features 200 pages with more than 350 photos chronicling the devastating May 2010 flood in an eclectic neighborhood in east Nashville, nestled on the Cumberland River near Opryland.
Following the same families for an entire year after the flood, within the pages of this volume you will see these hardy Nashvillians go from shock and disbelief to being settled back into their own homes--one family even happily posing by the Christmas tree for a "home again" photo.
A 12"x12" edition of the book is also available in the author's Blurb store.
All photography and text is the work of Tamara Gentuso.
An incredible medium for preserving and remembering special times, places and faces which so often fade over the years, photobooks have come into their own in recent years, and in the print-on-demand self-publishing world, Blurb.com is one of the pack leaders. A freelance photographer with a style that's an eclectic mix of photojournalism (documentary) and fine art photography (you can think of it as National Geographic with a splash of Vanity Fair or Elle!), I treasure the opportunity to put together custom photobooks for my clients using the services of Blurb.com.
