A trip late in March 2011, to Galveston, Texas, for a vacation and birding opportunities was too much to pass up!
The birds were in full breeding plumage, and the places found to photograph were wonderful.
Many species, and some I had never seen, but I really am just beginning with identifying birds, so this was and is still quite a wonderful learning experience.
Side trips by ferry to Port Bolivar and High Island were just about part of every day of the week spent in the area.

Virginia, your book is Fantastic. It is obvious just how much time and effort you put into all those amazing photographs. Some of those bird images are drop dead gorgeous. Many of the Archetectural shots are ooozing with sweet golden light. The compositions are well thought out and the design and layout are done to perfection. Congratulations on a masterpiece that shows both the beauty of your photography and the beauty of Texas. Jerry Eisner

Virginia - this is really a terrific selection of photos you have here. I think some of the best is your shots of the Pelicans.
