About the Book
Craig McCord and Kirk Hunt’s collaborative efforts create meaningful depth to this collection of images. Both individuals have a passion for their art, and Kirk’s writings, most of which were written specifically for this body of work, are meaningful, evocative, and at times poignant. This book also presents a relaxing visual journey through just a small sampling of beautiful places in this great nation.
Craig was born and raised in northeast Florida but has called the Midwest his home for the last 30 years. He currently resides with his wife a few miles east of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Largely self taught, Craig was influenced early on by black and white icons Ansel Adams and Brett Weston. Over time Craig increasingly focused on landscape and nature photography as his main interest, working principally in color. His current style was influenced early on by the works of Elliot Porter, and later by such greats as David Muench and Art Wolfe.
