As an expressionist painter, I have learned that in every painting there exists in some form a self portrait, a foot print of the artist. I believe it is also true of writings, but more so, the portrait extends to family members & friends, neighbors & strangers. My experience is not just mine, it is your's too. The experience is so personal, the writer & the reader share a moment, or a morning, or a cup of tea. And in moments like these, we get to support one another, exalt goodness, understand anger, and hopefully in the midst of tragedy - learn how to live life gracefully.
