About the Book
I tend toward a photo-journalistic style of photography. I enjoy the adventure of seeking out subjects to shoot. I use the camera lens like a third eye. It helps me see the world in a particular way. I find myself drawn to patterns, lines, shapes, contrast, lightness and darkness. And while I do occasionally succumb to the cliché at times (sunsets for example), I try to create images from subjects other people tend to pass by or don't take the time to see. In some cases, I look to find a way to shoot an old subject in a new way. I examine the natural world as well as the man- made world and at times these two converge. This book attempts to convey these ideas in a single body of work. It covers a fraction of the photos I have taken in the last ten years. It is a snap-shot of my own development as a photographer. Much of my earliest work has not "made the cut." If you find anything you like here, and maybe you will, please visit my website to see even more of my current work. As I continue to develop my skills and style as a photographer, I am enjoying the journey, and look ahead to what the future brings. Hopefully, I can share it with you.
Please note: The hardcover with dust jacket option has an index of all the pictures on the flaps. The other binding options do not have this.
