"Woman in Fragments" explores new artistic ground for StellaMe. In a departure from the captivating and coloristic style featured in "Women in Circles", "Woman in Fragments" lets the bits and pieces fall where they may, never to be fully recovered. The emphasis on disintegration and inadequate reintegration creates new subjects that are mysterious, yearning and broken. In "Woman in Fragments", a leg can become an arm, a face a breast, and a torso littered with eyes. "Woman in Fragments" breaks free from traditional linear spatial visual constraints to enable appearance to dictate function and achieve complete independence of scale.
