Water and Mist
The photographs in the series Water and Mist, seeks to capture the mystery and beauty of a moment in time when transformation is occurring in the natural landscape. The theme of Water and Mist honors the most common substance on earth and one that is constantly in transition. Since we consist primarily of water, the photographs in Water and Mist are reminders of how intricately we are connected to the landscapes we are observing.
JACK LAFORTE grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. where at an early age he developed a dual fascination in the visual arts and the human mind. Both a professional psychologist and an accomplished photographer, Jack has been able to bring together his capacity to grasp the essence of the moment with his unique eye for framing what he sees around him informed by a sense of wonder.
