About the Book
This project involves a search for identity, the start of a search for my South Korean roots as an adopted person. It started by looking up other adoptees in the Netherlands (October 2010), to have conversations and to share experiences and thoughts on adoption. These meetings were of great value to me, having gained more insight in myself and preparing me for the road ahead which I am now ready to take.
With these portraits I have made a book called "Doe mij maar zo'n Koreaantje" (free translation: "I'll have one of those little Koreans", a quote from a newspaper article on how the Korean adoption started in the Netherlands). It's a portraitbook about those "little Koreans" being adults now. Contents and final word In Dutch and English.
