The life and work of Philip Larkin has always been a subject debated and presented in a nebular of different ways. This is a personal attempt to put Larkin into a visual perspective. Adjudging Whitsun is a short graphic novel which illustrates the famous poem The Whitsun Weddings, while trying to come to a conclusion about the motives and ideals of the man.
A simple suggestion of Larkin's mind, Adjudging Whitsun is a gentle representation which does not take itself too seriously, whether you see Larkin's work as depressingly pessimistic, subtly self-deprecatory or purely astute, this quick read may offer some new train of thought, or some new perspective of the work of the fascinating poet.
