The Darkness at the End of the Tunnel
A compilation of poetry
by Fates Bastard
About the Book
This 1st compilation is an expression of my struggle to understand human emotions and mannerisms, having finally been diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome at the age of 40
In 1971 at St. Boniface General Hospital in Winnipeg Manitoba, William A K Nikolaus was born of English/German ancestry, my parents were proud and determined to have a child. Thus, I came forth unto the world. Limited success and abundant failures led me to adopt the online name “Fates Bastard” sometime in the 90’s and my belief in Fate, as a constant in the universe, came to be. I shunned popular and conventional forms of religion and began an intensive and trying quest of self-discovery. My writing is an extension of that quest.
