All the images in this book have been produced by staff and students working on the Higher National Diploma/Certificate in Photography, a two year programme of study at Swindon College, School of Art.

The task was to photograph exhibits in the Atwell Wilson Motor Museum in a contemporary and exciting way.

Whole objects, parts of an object, or groups of objects have been featured. A number of the final images are abstract in nature as this helped convey atmosphere and visual impact.

Although the majority of the collection is cars, the museum also houses an impressive collection of lorries, motorcycles, mopeds, pushbikes, a large selection of vehicle manuals and other archive material, and a collection of motor memorabilia.
