Not knowing what I wanted to be when I "grew up," I was playing around on my parents old PC with a program called PrintShop. My mom, and my inspiration, told me that I could make a career out of the greeting cards, posters, etc. that I was making! I've always enjoyed art -- even back in 4th grade when I won the class vote on a book cover, to when I won a CIML (Central Iowa Metro League) award in high school, to a holiday card the president of my college choose to mail out. Though I never really got into art classes in my high school days until my junior year, I knew that this was really what I wanted to do. I immediately began taking college courses after high school at dmacc and now I'm employed for a print and web design company EDJE Technologies, www.edje.com.

Was it hard to change the format? I made a nice color cookbook and would like to maybe make a b+w too. Color is pricey for some of the younger family members.
