Grew up in Yorkshire, England, left school to attend l'Ecole Hotelier Lausanne, Switzerland where Barbara did 3 years training and has subsequently worked all over the world in the hospitality industry. From early on Barbara & husband Chris owned their own hotels and restaurants. This book tells their story from the paradise years in the Caribbean through hurricanes & volcanoes with all the lessons & humour life provides. Barbara writes of the many challenges she and her husband faced before settling in Australia.
