That was a nice Email to start my day with! I like the original story very much. I was a bit concerned that my adaptation might be going off in too different a direction. It is interesting that you feel it has a cinematic quality - nice! Thankyou Jimijima.

Congratulations Lucy on a beautifully realised reworking if the old fairy tale – just enough for us to recognise in the story but not much to cloud our own imagination – and I love the way you have achieved a real “cinematic” feel to the work. all the best for the future – JImmy

Astonishing, gripping, frightening. A true successor to the best of the ancient tales collected by Grimm.
