Nepal is like nothing you have seen before. The high mountains are exciting and forbidding, the rolling country side is pleasant and heavily cultivated, and Kathmandu is crowded, lively, noisy, commercial, and filthy. The people are friendly and helpful, sometimes beautiful, and often dirty and smelly. They are also spiritual, with Hinduism and Buddhism having strong influences on their lives.
In May 2007 three friends enjoyed a week’s trip to this fascinating country. Amateur photographer, David, his friend, Tam, and their friend, Joe, were accompanied by Joe’s Nepalese friend, Sudersan, who also served as their guide, and by Chompoo, their driver. This book records some of their impressions.
