One day - a lifetime ago - when I came home from school, my older stepbrother stopped by as he sometimes did. He must have been in his late 20 ies back then and I was full of admiration for him. He seemed to have knowledge of a higher order that separated him from the rest of us. I remember that at one of those occasions during lunch, he spoke of a book he was contemplating making: a book that should consist only of colored pages, interspersed with all sorts of papers/materials - transparent/plastic/metal/foils of silver/gold - you name it. I believe this book remained an idea, never realized. I was thinking of that when looking at the Blurb color chart on a rainy day during a recent delightful visit of my ex-in-laws in Toronto.

Today, with PoD technology, a pure color book can be made without much headache - even if individualized papers / materials cannot be incorporated yet that easily. COLORS OF BLURB was made in the course of 24 hours; it is dedicated to the memory of the late sufi musician kw.
