Very short writings about animals and landscapes within nature along the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. The stories are drawn from my past experiences growing up and working along the BC coast.
John is a registered professional biologist in British Columbia, Canada. His knowledge, understanding and love for our coastal landscape and its natural systems are deeply rooted as he grew up exploring the beaches, forests and rivers of Vancouver Island. His work as a professional fisheries and wildlife biologist in British Columbia over the past 30 years has provided the opportunity for John to live and work in many remote and pristine wilderness areas of British Columbia and Alaska. It is a pleasure for John to share his connection with and understanding of our coastal landscapes and particularly to help raise into awareness some of the more subtle features of this magnificent coastline’s beauty.
