A collection of Celtic folktales, retold for a modern readership by a modern Celt. These tales are shared by a storyteller well versed in the old Celtic storytelling traditions, and each story will bestow a tangible blessing upon the one who reads it or - most delightful of all - has it read to them.
Here are stories gathered from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England, but most especially from the Isle of Man, where the author lives, as did his ancestors before him. Each has been considered through his own lens and retold in his own manner.
Here are fairy stories and myths, histories and folklore, all blended to create a mesmerising over view of the Celtic spirit. Here are tales of demonic bugganes and ghostly hounds, of Merlin and dragons, of giants and witches, of kings and druids, of mermaids and water-bulls.
The book is illustrated throughout by the enchanting artwork of Dion October, which adds a whole new dimension to the stories.
I'm passionate about Norse and Celtic history, mythology and cosmology. I'm also passionate about comedy. Both of these themes flow through my writings.
