a few days before packing up, and moving on in the blink of an eye as if they were never there.
It is perhaps this impermanent nature of the fairground that most appeals to an inherent restless nature in myself; the romance of a new town, new people and always a fresh start.
I finally got my opportunity this year.
The mixture of day and night is so appealing. The washed out heat of the day time colours alongside the Technicolor of the night time makes for such fascinating contrasts, with just the merest suggestion of people.

About the Creator
In my personal work, my eye leads me to explore shape and form, symmetry, geometrical pattern, leading lines, and I strive to challenge visual perspective and notions of appearance and perception whilst revealing the unusual in the usual, and to show how natural light can enliven the ordinary, and by then arranging these factors, but not limited to, turn and manipulate them into a photographic composition. I try now not to pin myself down into any specific style of photography, and at a push I would describe my style of photography as simply "Observational". Generally though, I simply enjoy the artistic process involved in taking a photograph and then the subsequent post processing. I see post processing as a direct extension of the creative process involved in digital photography. I am from Cape Town originally, although I have now lived over half my life in Britain.
