Departures is a photographic record of an ambitious long distance relationship, and the effort to maintain it through frequent travel between Tokyo, Los Angeles, Vancouver and New York City.

It is told through excerpts of conversations, emails and text messages during time spent planning, waiting and making arrangements to see each other again.
