A WEEK OF WANDERING IN CHINA
Long ago, Lieh Tzu loved to wander about. Hu Chiu Tzu asked him: “Yukou, what is it, what pleasure do you find that you enjoy wandering so much?” “The joy of roaming springs from the game of aimlessness,” answered Lieh Tzu. “People wander so they may see the sights, but I roam so I may observe the changes. Indeed, no one has yet separated these two ways of wandering!” At this, Hu Chiu Tzu said, “Yukou, you roam just like anyone else, only you give your wanderings a different name! For no matter what we observe, we see the changes along with it. You find joy in the aimlessness of things without avail if you have no knowledge of the aimlessness of your own self. He who wanders outwards searches for completion from the business of the outside world, but he who gazes inwards is content with himself. This contentment is the perfection of wandering. Until you search for wholeness in the business of the outside world, your roaming is not perfect.”
After this, Lieh Tzu never again left his home; he believed that he still knew nothing about wandering.
Hu Chiu Tzu spoke thus: “Oh, perfect wandering! He who roams in this way never knows arrival; he who observes this way, never knows sights: everything accompanies him in his wanderings; he sees everything in this observing. This is what I call roaming; this is what I call observing. And this is why I say: Roam in perfection! Roam in perfection!”

„A kószálás öröme a céltalanság játékából fakad – válaszolta Lie Ce. E megelégedettség a kószálás tökéletessége.
Kószálj a tökéletességben!"

About the Creator
Regarding his professional career, two personalities of a photographer have come to life in him. One tries to reflect reality as clearly and comprehensibly as possible. The other one, in contrast, acts in the opposite way; it takes pleasure in discovering the improbability of reality, and funny enough, it conveys this experience with an objective tool – with photography. His works of art are related to the classic trends of photography. His photos encourage reflection, and they raise innocent and meaningless situations of reality to the heights of extraordinary and mystic dimensions. He has held nearly 40 exhibitions in Budapest, he regularly publishes albums, and his professional and lay audience is constantly expanding. His photo movie Oceans of Sigh – Cuba was shown in Budapest cinemas with great success as a short movie to accompany Wim Wenders‘ film. He has received several professional rewards. In 2004, he had an exhibition with William Klein in Budapest.
