When I was seventeen, I began to photograph Nicole a former sixth grade classmate of mine. We met by chance on the street in Manhattan, and she told me she was supporting herself by working as a topless dancer in Manhattan.

Her work has been published in four New York Times books including “How Race is Lived in America”, and “A Century in Times Square”. She is currently working on a documentary film
"The Man Corporations Love to Hate".
