Images and Reflections is primarily a photography book using poetry to reflect on the images. The images also reflect on the necessity and fluidity of water in nature.
Photography has been an interest to Sheralyn Graise prior to owning her first camera many years ago. In 1994, Ms. Graise was accepted to her first juried art exhibit and later that year, her first juried artists’ market. The following year, Ms. Graise was accepted to seven juried summer artists’ markets and four juried art exhibits. She has since participated in several juried venues in and out of Ohio. She specializes in color, nature, landscape, scenic photography. Her primary focus is landscape photography. Ms. Graise tries to reflect her perception of the beauty in the landscape, whether natural or manmade, and our harmony or incongruity with that beauty. Ms. Graise graduated from the University of Akron with a BA in Sociology and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice. She worked for many years in social service but is now pursuing other interests: photography and writing.
