35 mm is a compilation of images taken from 1998 to 2004. All images are 35 mm, full frame and devoid of alteration or enhancement. These photographs were taken as my personal recordings and are the purest reflection of my travel experiences. Although I did not initially intend to exhibit them, they were the inspiration behind the original Journeyman Gallery. The Journeyman Gallery motto, “Share the experience,” is what I aspire to achieve through the art of photography.
Josh Manring travels to unexpected corners of the globe, capturing rich stories through images to reveal the dramatic intersection between humans and nature. Since 1998, Josh has explored over 50 countries and has published five photographic books.
Josh’s passions for travel and photography merged on his first visit to Western Europe, following his graduation from Rollins College with a BA in International Relations. This trip laid the foundation for a lifetime of adventure and documentary photography, but it was a yearlong expedition to South America and Africa that compelled Josh to share his stories. These stories, as interpreted through images, are the purest reflection of his travel experiences.
