The first in the L.A. punk series, The Bags-Hollywood Forever unearths never before seen photos of The Bags early line-up, with only 36 exposures, Dawn makes every shot count - intimate shots of a band that would change the sound of rock for generations to come.
"Dawn Wirth's verite images are essential to any understanding of first wave Los Angeles punk rock 1977-79. Without angel shutterbugs like Dawn toiling away (thanklessly at the time) there would be scant archaelogical evidence this species ever existed. Now -- more than ever -- is the time for love and reparation." Brendan Mullen, founder of the Masque
"Sometimes pictures speak louder than words and in 1977 during the early days of L.A. punk rock, Dawn Wirth was on the front lines, camera in hand, capturing the moment with terrific photographs". John Denny, lead singer for The Weridos

Amen Darksidegirl - manners and courtesy are a dying art. Dawn is an awesome person and great photographer and these pictures are truly history. As for disrespect for the dead, apparently D1923C doesn't know that this particular cemetery shows movies on the side of the mausoleum every Sat night during the summer months. They want it to be a place that is for the living as well as those gone before. There are quite a few music stars interred there, including a couple of the Ramones, and I'd like to think they are happy that their final resting place is being visited and enjoyed and photographed. Haters, go somewhere else...

YOU know what is REALLY sad with these comments - No one is looking at - THIS IS HISTORY people! These were photographs taken 30+ years ago. Don't any of you remember what your grandparents or parents told you, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything?"
