The Other North East
by Jamie Sproates
People often associate the North East with picturesque coast lines, historical buildings and rusted statues.
There is none of that in this book!
What there is, is ruined barns and shelters and other ransacked structures left to rack and ruin.
Sweeping panoramas of Weardale and even a few babbling brooks and streams.
This is after all The Other North East.
Gone are the days of industrial grime.
