This beautiful haunting book tells the story of a new charity Alive and Well and its first expedition to Sierra Leone, to the most impoverished people on the planet and their determination to make a difference - bringing safe drinking water to communities without hope.
The narrative in pictures and words shows the journey the trustees undertook travelling to West Africa and drilling water wells in remote villages, training a local crew and changing people's lives - including their own.
£10 of the cost of the book automatically goes towards the project and 98% of all funds raised go direct to the ground in Sierra Leone. It is here that the drilling crew recruited from the local community are now undertaking the drilling of boreholes for villages free of charge across the Pujehun District.

PDowding says
Everyone that buys this book is contributing £10 to Alive and Well. This amount pays a crew member's wages for a week. During that week the crew will drill a well in a village where, until your money helped pay for the borehole, people had to give infected water to their children and where waterbourne diseases claimed the lives of babies and children every month. That's all changed with a new well.
You contribution makes a difference on the ground.
Thanks for your help.
