I volunteered to capture images for the Minnesota Wing Commemorative Air Force and to author a photo-book that they could use as a “Thank You” gift to those who contribute a given amount for the preservation and support of their efforts. It is impossible to be around the many volunteers who contribute their time and effort to maintain, fly and exhibit these irreplaceable icons of our American “flying” history without catching the enthusiasm and spirit of their dedication. Having the opportunity to “touch and feel” these frail yet mighty flying machines as I photographed their interiors and exteriors was a dream come true. Yes, my passion is photography; but when you are exposed to these wonderfull ships of the air and their support staff you could easily consider changing or expanding your choice of passion(s). Enjoy the book and let yourself dream a little!
