Hi,My name is Mike, I'm a recent Blurerati and have published two landscape books (my passion is travel and landscape photography). I am BLOWN AWAY by your books and the design aspects. I've looked at several and wanted to reach out and ask if you would have any objections at 'educating' me on how you achieved some of the affects.I've got a few questions and if you don't mind sharing, perhaps the best way to liaise is via email? I'm an amateur (passionate) photographer who is interested in learning from talented resources, and you obviously fall into that category.I shot my nieces wedding in Mexico a couple of months ago, and I was starting to develop a book (I use Blurb Booksmart - having downloaded the client to my Mac desktop). I would love to use some of your techniques if you would be willing to share the methods you used. Here are a couple of questions as a starter;1. Are you using photoshop or InDesign for the page layouts - I love how you have one image that is muted or the opacity is lowered in the background, and then overlay other smaller images on top. How do you do that?2. I love the image on the first page that looks like it is a segment of a film strip (or a colour negative)...is that a feature in Blurb or did you create that or download it and embed your image (or is it simply a border...and if so where did you get it?My email address is: mike (dot) perkins (at) rogers (dot) comI would sincerely appreciate hearing back from you - your work inspires me and I would really like to create a book for my niece that leverages some of your work. OUTSTANDING !!!!Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I truly hope you will write back.Cheers,Mike
