Largely autobiographical, "The Heat of Tennessee" is a novella based on Frisch's experiences at the 2011 Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee. Part love story and part gonzo journalism, we follow the protagonist, Jackson, in and out of drug-induced states while he follows a girl, reconnects with old friends, and tries to make sense of such a chaotic place.
