Divine Excess, Beyond Gender is part of documentary multimedia project that in the very midst of the digital era returns to studio portraiture tradition to create images that dignify the LGBT community in order to combat homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia. This photo essay captures the lives, struggles, and diversity of the trans community in Mexico City to promote understanding and raise awareness about the fluidity of gender and sexuality within the human race by challenging conventional notions of masculinity and femininity.
