About the Book
Following a semester abroad in Italy, Adrian Bridges returned to America with a new passion for photography. Hoping to sustain an element of his European lifestyle, he continued to seek out opportunities to go wandering with his camera, be it on a weekend vacation to Washington D.C. or an afternoon in the park. The results of these photographic excursions are displayed across the book, concluding with a return trip to Italy. Nearly two years after his first departure to Tuscany, Adrian travelled to Sicily for a week of research and sight-seeing in the home of Archimedes, Cannoli, and The Mafia.
While this new book was not the ongoing subject of a blog, Adrian has crafted a set of journal entries to accompany his photography, offering a backdrop to the imagery of each adventure. The stories of two years' time in the life of one New York musician unfold on the following pages.
Adrian is a guitarist and composer originally from Philadelphia and now living in New York City. He received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from New York University’s Jazz Studies program, with emphasis on guitar and composition, where he was honored as a Presser Scholar. He has blogged about his travels both in abroad in America, serving as the basis for his "Adventures" book series.
