The concept of this book is to tell the story of the Merritt Family through original, handwritten documents - a diary, letters, family records, postcards, inscriptions on books - and family photographs.

The two sisters who represent our lines are Ida Merritt Shepard and Kate Merritt Bowles. Their brothers were John B. Merritt, Charles E. Merritt, Albert Bruce Merritt and George H. Merritt.

Parents of these siblings were Marsell Merritt and Clarissa McMillan.
