Peach's Point Croquet
Labor Day Weekend Croquet Poems
Each year from 2001 through 2010, the late Jean Green wrote a poem— read during the awards ceremony—about the annual Peach's Point Labor Day Weekend croquet tournament. Her pithy rhymes are memorialized in this little book, illustrated with photographs which capture some of the people and scenes of this event which began in 1950.
I specialize in New England landscape photography. My domains include Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, the north shore of Boston (Marblehead, Newburyport, Plum Island), Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, and Block Island, and recently, the Adirondacks in New York state. I also do "photo manipulations" — original photographs altered and enhanced using digital image editing computer programs. Results are painting-like images. As a croquet devotee, I maintain a large collection of croquet scenes and venues, from backyards to championship-caliber (6-wicket) facilities.
