This poem was inspired by my daughter (Diamond Williams) when she was 6 years of age. I began to think about what kind of Legacy I would leave for her. In light of the recent election, of the 44th President of The United States of America, Barack Obama, I have been compelled to publish it. It is a mere reflection of the desire of the human spirit standing against adversity.

Mark Eric Williams speaks loud and candidly in his book Unspoken Journey. His words are sentimental, splashed with droplets of sweat and tears as they whisper and sing and dance and cry, taking the reader on the blood stained pilgrimage of his ancestry. Unspoken Journey propels the reader forward to a better place in time, yet compels them to remember the cost of freedom. A must read!
